and get yourself some FoliaTec caliper paint. I cant rave anough about this stuff! It's a little pricy, but it's designed for calipers and made to be applied with a small brush that's provided with the kit. Also, to make sure that their paint is compatible with which ever cleaner you use, they also include caliper lacker in the kit! All you have to do is use a steel brush to get the dust off, spray on the lacker and let dry, then mix the two-part paint/hardener and apply with the brush. It hardens to a glossy smooth plasticky finish that's indestructible and easy as hell to clean. Please do yourself a favor and get the engine paint off by soaking the calipers in paint-remover and painting them with a good quality product. Good luck George
